Our heartiest congratulations to Adeesha Dinal Thilakarathne of S. Thomas’ College, Bandarawela who participated at the 16th Asian Schools Rapid Chess Championship 2022 – Under 15 Open and won a gold medal and ranked Island Champion.

The tournament was organised by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) and the International Chess Federation (FIDE). The event was held on December 4, 2022 at Citrus Hotel, Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka.

Adeesha also performed well at the Commonwealth Chess Championship held in November 2022.
