2020 Events: S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela
The Interact Club of S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela was awarded a Certificate of Achievement by the Interact District 3220 for their valuable contribution on making the "Think Local, Act Global" project a great success.
The Interactors of STCB collaborated with the Interact Club of Ananda College, Colombo and the Interact Club of Colombo North for the Interact Week Celebrations 2019. The project named "Think Local Act Global" was conducted under the avenue of "Economic & Community Development" with the aim of educating the community on how to sustainably use our natural resources to develop economy.
The project took place on the 8th of November, 2019 in the Telford International School, Galle.
The Old Boys' Association of S. Thomas’ College, Bandarawela has extended their support again during the Corona virus pandemic by providing the school with the following:
• 44 x 4G routers to the tutorial staff,
• 4 x brand new laptops for online classroom teaching,
• 75 x pedal type bins for the classrooms,
• 20 x pedal type sinks for student hygiene.
The school is deeply grateful of this timely intervention by the OBA and welcome their continued support in the coming years.
The Uva Thomian Cricket Encounter between STC Gurutalawa and STC Bandarawela was held on March 7, 2020 in Gurutalawa. Mr. Ziard Sinnen, Senior Vice President, Old Boys Association, STC Gurutalawa graced the occasion as the chief guest.
STC Gurutalawa scored 182 in 44 overs and won the match by 4 runs. The following players won awards:
Best bastsman – M. Mafas (STCB)
Best fielder – Nethmal Kalhara (STCB)
Best bowler – Rahul Vikash (STCG)
Man of the match – C. Dhanjaya (STCG)
The table tennis team of S. Thomas' College, Bandarawela participated in the Inter School Table Tennis Team Championship which was held at the Sports Complex of STC, Mount Lavinia from the 6th to the 7th of March 2020. The under 14 team emerged runners up in the G division. The winning team comprised of the following students:

- Dinula Atthanayaka
- Adeesha Thilakrathna
- Deshitha Mendis
- Okitha Gawarammana
The team was coached by Mr. Prabath Priyantha and the Master-in-charge was Mr. Betram Weerakoon.
The Annual Primary School Sports Meet was held on 28th February 2020 on the college grounds. Mrs. Sandya Abanwala, Uva Province Education Secretary graced the occasion as the chief guest.
